Where it started.

01 — Goal

Sell a feeling, not a list

Most travel sites read like a spreadsheet of tours. The brief was a brand that felt like a cinematic invitation: dark, editorial, alive, with the warmth and culture front and center.

02 — Constraint

One owner, no dev team

It had to run without a developer on call or a monthly platform tax. Plain files the owner controls, free hosting, and tools that update themselves with no backend to babysit.

03 — Bar

Hold a premium standard

Fast on a phone, accessible to everyone, and findable on Google. The kind of polish that makes a small brand read like a category leader.

What went into it.

  • A custom design system: type scale, color, motion, and reusable components across all 56 pages.
  • An interactive trip builder that prices an itinerary live as guests choose.
  • A client-side FAQ concierge chatbot with no API and no monthly cost.
  • Stripe deposit links and Mailchimp plus Netlify lead capture, wired and tested.
  • GA4 analytics on every meaningful action, so the owner sees what converts.
  • Full WCAG AA pass: skip links, heading order, focus states, alt text, contrast.
